He is one of the founders of laser physics an technics in the Institute of Physics, BAS (1960 – 1963) and in the Institute of Electronics, BAS (1963 – 1967) and (1967 – 1990).

    He was physicist in Plovdiv (1955 г.), in the Sofia University and in the Institute of Physics, BAS (1956 – 1966)

Publications:

    Vasil Stefanov wrote 65 scientific articles and reports, 70 popular scientific stories and 26 inventions in optics (10), electronics (2), laser physics and technology (10), and laser devices (4). He has autority rights on 6 patent.
