SOLOMON MOIS SALTIEL
(31.08.1947 – 07.05.2009)

Born:
Professor Saltiel was born in Sofia.
Education:
He studied Technical School "A. Popov" in Sofia, graduated Moscow State University – Ph.D. (1976), and obtained scientific degree – Sc.D. (1995) in Bulgaria.
Research:
He worked in the area of non linear optics.
Professional experience:
Professor S. Saltiel was director of the Sofia University Institute of Laser Technic.
He was corresponding member of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (2004).
Teaching activities:
Full Professor and chief of the Department of Quantum electronics (1996 – 2009).
He was lecturer in the Sofia University, Department of Quantum Electronics (1978 – 2009).
Professor S. Saltiel lectured courses on Quantum electronics and Laser Technics, and initiated course on Photonic structures.
