Heliophysics school was created under his leadership in Bulgaria.
He worked in the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences Section of Astronomy (1977).
Associate Professor (1987), D.Sc. (1995) and Professor (1996).
He was Institute of Astronomy Director (1993 – 1995), scientific secretary (1996) and memner of the scientific council.
The Sun Laboratory was created by him (1985).
Teaching activities:
University cource Physics of the Sun was initiated by him in the Sofia University since 1977.
Publications:
Vladimir Dermendjiev write some books and more than 150 scientific articles.
