       Bulgarian Academy of Sciences elected Georgi Nadjakov as a member in 1945. Georgi Nadjakov was vice-president of the Academy.

       Georgi Nadjakov created Institute of Physics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. It was grown gratefully to his prestige as a scientist and director (1946 – 1971). The mountain station in Musala and nuclear research reactor were built. Some sections of the Institute of Physics became independent Institutes.

       Georgi Nadjakov was retired in February 20, 1972. He had a personal laboratory in the main building of the Institute of Solid State Physics up to his death. Museum was created in his laboratory after that.

       Institute of Solid State Physics was followed by the name of "Georgi Nadjakov" with decree 292 since 16 February 1982. Prize in physics "Georgi Nadjakov" was constituted in Bulgaria since 1987.

       Professor Luisa Cifarelli opened a new historic site of the European Physical Society in the Institute of Solid State Physics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences together with Professor Alexander G. Petrov, 23 May 2014.

       The Memorial plaque announces workplace of Georgi Nadjakov as a Historic site of the European Physical Society.
