Born: in Shumen.

Education:

    She studied physics in the Faculty of Physics at the Sofia University (1962 - 1967) and graduated there with first class of "astronomers.

    In 1943 she went with Humboldt scholarship in Gottingen where he worked with Professor Robert Paul.

    She defended Ph.D. thesis entitled "Bright red stars in spherical clusters M3, M5, M15 and M92" at the Institute of Astronomy, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (1978).

Research:

    In the field of astrophysics of spherical star clusters she published 70 scientific papers.

    She made the optics of the 2-meter telescope of National Astronomical Observatory "Rozhen" and take part of the program RC-focus.

    The last 10 years of his life she spent in the old University Astronomical Observatory in Sofia.

Professional experience:

    After graduation she was two years assistant professor of astronomy at the University of Plovdiv.

    In the Institute of Astronomy, BAS she became a Research Fellow (in 1970), Associate Professor (in 1987), Scientific Secretary (1989 - 1993), Chairman of the Scientific Council (1995 - 1999), director (in 1995).

Teaching experience:

    It had a laboratory course of Stellar astronomy for student on astronomy at Sofia University (1972 - 1976).

    She was lecturer at the Department of Astronomy, Sofia University (1989 - 1996), where she had a special course "Stellar clusters and associations."

    At the Southwestern University "Neophyt Rilski" she has read the basic course on astronomy for physics and headed several students diploma works and one PhD thesis.
