This year the 70th anniversary is celebrated since Georges Destriau has discovered prebreakdown electroluminescence in France. Investigations on this physical phenomenon in Bulgaria began from 1962 after one visit of Acad. Georgi Nadjakov in Sweden.
The present work makes a survey of the carried out investigations on this kind of electroluminescence in our country. The developed hybrid and perfected hybrid technologies are presented for preparation of electroluminescent structures, devices and set-ups. Fabricated by this technology devices and set-ups of various applications have been exposed at many International Exhibitions and won a number of medals and prizes.
